A LOST MIX

Here's your gigantic dose LOST from my world. Think of it as LaFleur, Namaste, He's Our You, and Whatever Happened Happend blended up and poured into a chilled margarita glass for you while sitting on a tropical island in the middle of nowhere during 1977 with blue vans driving by. Here we go:

1) Who is this Radzinsky guy? We've actually seen his work before (besides his Swan hatch model) and have been quite amazed.
Radzinsky actually has a histry (or shall I say future) working with Kelvin (Desmond's buddy in the Swan Hatch). Radzinsky was the guy that drew that crazy neon hatch drawing on the blast door that Locke found as it closed on him.
Radzinsky was also the guy who edited the Swan Orientation film. Kelvin told Desmond that, while he was asleep, Radzinsky committed suicide by putting a shotgun in his mouth and firing it, creating a blood stain on the ceiling. Because of the protocol, Kelvin had to bury him within 108 minutes. Desmond is assumed to be Radzinsky's replacement.

2) What has happened in the last 3 years? - Sawyer became head of security for the Dharma Initiative, fell in love with Juliet and made a nice little life for himself in Dharmaville. Meanwhile back on the mainland Jack grew a beard, became a drunk, lost his engagement with Kate, lost his rights to see his nephew, and tried to commit suicide. Who's the leader now, Jack? Who's the leader now? Sawyer has his life together keeping his friends safe and Jack couldn't get lead a pack of wolves to sheep if he had to.

3) When Sun is in the house with Frank and Christian (looking at Jin's Dharma pic) it looks as if someone is in the background. Probably Claire???

4) Locke and Christian both arrive on the islands in coffins and both looking very much alive. Which leads me to belive that Christian was on that island pre Oceanic crash, like Locke was there pre Ajira crash.

5). Does 1977 Chef Hurley order the food drops for 2004 Hurley?

6) Young Ben gives locked up Sayid a book called "A Separate Reality."Pretty interesting since that's exactly where they are. The book (often read and used for lyrics by Jim Morrison from the Doors) states, " Castaneda (author) describes the experiences he has with Don Juan while under the influence of the psychotropic plants that Don Juan offered him, peyote (Lophophora williamsii) and a smokable mixture of what Castaneda believed to be, among other plants, dried mushroom of the genus Psilocybe. The main focus of the book centered around Don Juan's attempts at getting Carlos to See, a practice best described as, in Castaneda's own words, "perceiving energy directly as it flows through the universe".

7) Just need to point out the Geranamo Jackson poster in the cafeteria - it's really been a hot topic on LOST this season. More info on the band here: http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Geronimo_Jackson

8) Why was the Swan Hatch built you are wondering: it was originally built to study the island's unique electro-magnetic properties. Then an incident happens before 1980 and after the Swan is in place. The incident is the reason someone had to push the button every 108 minutes. So there is actually a time where someone in the Swan Hatch doesn't have to be enslaved to the button.

9) In Whatever Happened Happened we can see the gradual shift in Jack. He sounds just like Locke. He's there for a reason. He has no idea why, but he had to go back. He's just waiting to see what happens next.

10) Richard mentions Ellie and Charles Widmore. So, Ben is living on the island at the same time as Charles. Now Richard takes Ben into Smokie's temple and does his whole Pet Cemetery thing on him to save that little boy's butt. Meanwhile Ben loses his innocence (whatever that means - he's a messed up little boy to begin with) and will be cared for my the Other's. Will he be raised by his archenemy Charles now???

11) Apparently Claire is still alive somewhere on a LOST island (according to Kate). Who she's with and where she is - who the heck knows. But Aaron's with grandma now and that's all good. However, Kate can't keep a secret. Sawyer's ex and Claire's grandma now know of LOST island.

12) Ben grows up having Kate's blood in him. Just had to point out the weirdness in that! Could that possibly be why he first shared a romantic breakfast on the beach with her way back when?

13) Juliet helps saves Ben's life. Could that be why Ben specifically requested Juliet as the baby doctor and then fell in love with her.

14) Sayid, Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Juliet made Ben who he is today.

15) Who is the doctor in the Looking Glass station (the one under water)? The Fuselage has a lot of theories going on, but I'll give you my favorite. Ray Shephard! That would be jack's grandfather. Totally possible that jack's grandpa is a DI doc in the 70s.

16) Locke greets Ben with "welcome back to the land of the living." So what's that supposed to mean???

17) We see Richard carry Ben into the temple (Smokey's home) - looks like we'll get a face to face with Smokey pretty soon!

The Life & Death of Jeremy Bentham

Locke lives and dies and lives and dies. Great episode, but aren't they all. However, I have one thing that I'm a little disappointed with. I'm kinda bummed that we didn't get another great airplane breaking apart, crashing into pieces special effects scene. Besides that - I loved it! I've got your answers and many more questions.

1). I did my research on this one. The epi opens with Ceaser (the new guy) in the Hydra hatch flipping through papers and magazines. We quickly get a glimpse and close up of the above LIFE magazine. The following is what's in that edition: Life Magazine April 19, 1954 : Color Cover - the awesome fireball. Color pictures of the Hydrogen test. Dave Beck, former boss of goons, emerges as labor’s new strong man. Neat full page Champions spark plug ad with Sam Hanks and his car. Full page Sacony clothing as with Eileen Carlson. From cheers to “phooey” for McCarthy. Striking two page color Buick car ad with one color page - yellow car on red background. Humorous land sale in Texas, Lazy C ranch, BenJack Cage, 2 square inches for 75 cents. Buffalo’s Cleveland Hill school fire traps pupils at music lesson, with photos of whole class plus Dennis Cervi, Michael Cody, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Frank, Joseph O. DuPont, many died. Pictorial essay - a vision of Easter painted by William Blake. Feature on the spice Curry. Pictorial essay - World’s most exclusive clubmen. Oxford has 100th crewing boat race, includes many photos historic and current including J.J.H. Harrison, W. R. Marsh. Aviation - a new sight in soaring, new glider has engine and propeller - the Hummingbird, with Harry Perl and Ted Nelson. Life visits the best dressed woman in Brazil, Thereza Leite de Souza Campos. Dave Beck, boss of the Teamsters. Full page color Herbert Tareyton cigarette ad with Barbara and James Punderford.
This is what I find interesting - it's got a boat race (arrows point to Desmond) & Ceaser even flips briefly to a page that looks a bit like a boat in water.

2) Ceaser is obviously looking for something and hiding a secret - is he good or evil? I think he's evil and one of Widemore's guys. I get the feeling he's on a mission and knows what he's doing there.

3) The Hydra has the answers. Ceaser finds the maps of the island and a pretty interesting physics explanation - we've got SPACE TIME, REAL TIME and IMAGINARY TIME!!! WHAT???

4) Locke's first scene with the hood removal totally reminded me of Star Wars and Obi Wan Kenobi. Locke is the new island Jedi Master.

5) Hurley painting a sphinx - what is the significance? WELL, "Sphinx" came from the Greek verb "sphingo" meaning "to strangle (which is exactly what happens to Locke). Plus, there's the old story when Oedipus correctly answered the riddle "man" — who crawls on all fours in infancy, walks on two feet when grown, and leans on a staff in old age — the sphinx killed herself (which is what Locke tried to do)

6) Did Widmore set up the cameras in Tunisia after Ben did his wheel turning traveling? Those cameras weren't there when Ben arrived. So, why are they now when Locke arrives? How did Widmore know where to set them up? Is it the same place that Charlotte found the polar bear remains?

7) Who left in the canoe with Lapidus? My guess is Sun off to find Jin. But why wouldn't they disappear like Jack, Hurley and Kate? They all left together, shouldn't they disappear into thin air together too?

8) What the heck happened to Aaron and why isn't anyone concerned?

9) Since the plane looks totally in tact, given that Lapidus is such a great pilot and all, how the heck did Locke get out of the coffin and onto the beach??? Is he a ghost Locke that people can see?

10) So why did Ben save Locke, only to kill him? I have a few ideas. #1 idea- Ben actually went to Locke to save him because he needed him for information such as Mrs Hawking and Jin's ring. When he heard that Locke had made a promise to Jin about the ring, you could see the shift in Ben's eyes and Ben had a change of heart. Ben now realized the bigger plan. Jin is alive, Mrs. Hawking is the one who can help. We need to create a similar "Oceanicesque" situation and Locke will now play Chriatian, since it's so darn convenient. Plus, with Locke dead, Ben now can get to Jack (the weak one by using Locke's dead body as leverage). #2 idea - If you kill yourself you don't get resurrected on the island. Christian killed himself by drinking himself to death, came to island in a coffin and is now the island ghost. Maybe Ben couldn't let the same happen to Locke because there is more work for Locke on the island. #3 idea - Ben never intentionally went to Locke to kill him. He went there empty handed and got the cleaning solution and gloves after he killed him.

11) Remember the 4 toed statue. Do we get a hint at it? I think we most certainly do several times throughout the episode in ever shot of Locke's foot in a cast.

12) Locke is like Jesus hanging on a cross, soon to be resurrected.

13) Locke's suicide cord comes from a place called ANGELS. It's written on the bag that he pulls the cord out of.

14) Walt still is special. He knew Locke was across the street before he saw him. He also had a dream of Locke in the future in a suit, on the island and that people want to hurt him.

15) Since we see Jin as part of the Dharma initiative, is he the one who initially taught Charlotte how to speak Korean since she was there as a young girl.

16) Why didn't Locke's paralysis come back once he left the island? Yes, he was in a wheelchair for a broken leg, but he was still hobbling around on crutches for a moment.

17) How did Widmore know that Ben tried to kill Locke? He says something like, " I haven't tried to kill you yet. Can you say the same for Ben?"

18) Why didn't Walt ask about Vincent? Doesn't he wonder what happened to his dog? Does Walt know more than he's revealing. Does he really know what happened to his dad?

That's all or now. I know, I'm still LOST too.
