So I'm rewatching the episodes and I have so many more questions now after I've had the chance to digest everything.
1) Why did the van travel with them to 2004 (which I'm assuming it is because apparently it's when Desmond blew up the Swan Hatch)?
2) Why is Juliet at the bottom of a hole in the Swan Hatch? If in fact the hatch actually got built and blown up by Desmond, Juliet and the hole shouldn't even be there. Plus, when Desmond blew up the hatch, he was inside and even he got blown out of it.
3) Why is Rose reading a Weekly Woodsman on the plane? That seems out of place.
4) Why did Locke say he went on a walkabout, when he's clearly in a wheel chair? Is Locke now a liar?
5) We see that MIB/Flocke tore the piece of tapestry. Is this the same tapestry that we once saw in the cabin? What's so special about it and why did he take it?
6) Why did Ben lie to Richard saying the Jacob was ok?
7) Why does Jacob refer to the MIB as an old friend?
8) Why is the pen in Jack's jacket gone?
9) While Juliet is alive she clearly says it didn't work, then when dead she says it did work. What's up with that?
10) How does Jacob's body guards know about the ash, but doesn't know that the MIB turns into Smokie?
11) How is it that Ben can summon Smokie, but doesn't know about the MIB?
12) It seems to me that every number shown or mentioned in this episode is not one of the "numbers" I'm guessing that was done on purpose.
13) How could they not see the real temple behind the outside one?
14) If Cindy, Zach and Emma were all on flight 815, why didn't they time travel with the rest of our Losties? Looks like they've just been hanging out in the temple through all of this.
15) Why didn't Jack recognize Desmond on the plane, when they clearly met while running in the stadium?
16) When Myles listens to dead Juliet why does it sound like the Smoke Monster is coming?
17) Why does Jin get subtitles and the new Asian guy doesn't? I think that kind of sucks.
18) Who were the fireworks meant for? Richard?
19) Why is the MIB dissapointed in everyone?
20) Why don't we see Claire on the plane? Also, is Claire pregnant, cuz they never showed her belly in the cab.
21) Is Desmond married to Penny, cuz he IS wearing a wedding ring on the plane.
22) Why does Jacob die so easily and then disappear in the fire?

LOST S6; LA X 1 and 2
Yes, LOST is finally back! It's a little bitter sweet knowing that this is the final season (I think a few of us may need a support group after the season finale) but this time around we will finally get some answers...hopefully. The premiere episodes were awesome in so many ways, answering some questions, confirming some theories, and creating more confusion. But I believe it's the confusion and questions that keep so many people hooked. So here we go...
Smoke Monster/Man In Black (MIB)/ Fake Locke (FLocke) - I believe that we can all agree that the MIB can shapeshift. He is at times Smokie, who lurks under the outside part of the temple (possibly waiting for his chance to get in), and is now FLocke. There is also the possibility that at times he has appeared as Jack's dad (which is really confusing me). Apparently, the MIB had the idea a while back to clone Locke, but how did he set up the whole scheme? How did Ben know to kill Locke instead of letting him kill himself? I mean think about this for a second, Eloise Hawking said that Locke was to take the place of Jack's dad in the coffin and Ben kept him on ice to keep the body fresh. With regards to the MIB inhabiting Locke's body or cloning him had to have been already set in place for Ben to be the one to kill him, keep him fresh, and get him back to the island. Also, at what point did the MIB clone Locke? I've always thought Christian Shephard was a good guy (even protecting himself from Smokie with ash laid around the cabin), but it was Christian Shepard that told Locke he needed to die to fix everything. So, did the MIB also shapeshift into Christian at the moment when he told Locke that he needed to die? Was that when the MIB's plan begun?
Theory: When good Locke couldn't get the O6 to come back, could the MIB have actually shapeshifted into off island Ben (who was wearing a black trench coat at the time), get the O6 to come back, killed Locke to take his body, got back on the plane, shapeshifted into Fake Locke, leaving real Ben to survive the Ajira flight, achieving his goal to then use real Ben as his murderer to kill Jacob. Phew, did you get all of that?
What time is it? We have several different choices - the 70's, 2004, 2007, or 2010. Jack, Kate, Sawyer and the rest blew up the hatch in the 70's. The first Oceanic 815 flight took on in Sept 04. The Ajira flight with Sun, Ben and Lapedis landed in 2007. However, today is 2010 and the title of the episode is LA X. Notice the space - it is intentional. Does the X stand for 10, as in 2010? One thing I do believe is that Jack, Kate, Jin, Myles, Hurley and Sawyer are in the same time as Sun, Ben, Lapedis, Richard and the rest of the Ajira flight on the island. In Los Angeles, I have no clue.
Thanks ODI for screencap.
What's up with Juliet? OK, so my favorite part of the night was the interaction between Sawyer and Juliet. I really like them. Here we see her dying while talking about going dutch for coffee. This make me believe that her body died in Sawyer's arms while her mind traveled to some distant future or parallel universe where her and Sawyer actually meet and have coffee. When Sawyer makes Myles ask Juliet what she wanted to tell him and he said that she says, "it worked" i believe that the bomb did work and that the are all living out their lives in a parallel universe. If this is the case, then I also believe that fate will bring them all back together in some way. If Juliet and Sawyer are meant to be, I don't think that anything can stop that.
Is the MIB Satan while Jacob is God? The MIB specifically tells Richard that he wants to go home. But where is home? I'm going to go with a religious theory here. I say the MIB is Satan, or some kind of fallen angel who was thrown out of heaven and wants to get back. I'm also going to say that Jacob is either God or God's right hand angel. If this is correct, it makes sense to me why neither could kill each other. It also shows a parallel to the relationship that Ben has with Widmore (there are rules that they have to go by and neither could kill the other one). If they are indeed some kind of angel-like being then it also makes sense to me how they can inhabit the body of a dying person.
Oceanic 815 differences & similarities: According to Damon & Carlton on Jimmy Kimmel, jack purposely had less to drink and was also more nervous during the turbulence than Rose. With that said why are we seeing Jack's perspective on the plane. Everyone else seems to be going on their merry way, while Jack seems a little uneasy, possibly experiencing a bit of dejavu. OK - so who was NOT on the plane that was on the original? Michael and Walt, Shannon, and Claire (even though we see her in the airport we don't see her on the plane). I would like to say good job to having the pilots voice on the speaker be Greg Grunberg's, who was also the original pilot that died by Smokie's hands. Desmond was never on the plane in 2004, he was pushing a button in the hatch. However, if this plane ride isn't 2004 then I don't know. However, Desmond disappears as soon as Jack sees Charlie (so glad to see Charlie back). Even though the plane didn't crash, Jack still asks for a pen to save a life, like he did with Boone when they crashed on the island. Jack still has the same flight attendant, Cindy, who now has a job in the temple. Hurley is happy and is only lucky, which is a complete contrast to his former life. Kate is still in handcuffs and again manages to get away. Sawyer seems to be the same but maybe a little nicer and happier. I mean he did just kill the wrong guy he thought was the original Sawyer, plus he's giving Hurley advice on how not to be conned. Locke is still wheelchair bound, and actually lied to Boone about the walkabout.
Weird stuff: Oceanic loses Jack's dad, just like in the original plane crash when there was a coffin but no Christian Shephard. Jack seems like a more optimistic man when he meets Locke in the airport
claiming that anything can be changed, including Locke's spine, and he even offers him a free consult. Whereas Locke is more of the pessimist claiming that his spine can't be fixed. Oceanic also loses Locke's knives, which must be significant but I'm not sure why.
The island under water: First I'd like to give a nice little shout out to the Dharma shark appearance (check out the tail). I thought that was neat that he was thrown back into the picture. But why was the island under water while Oceanic was flying overhead? Did the bomb actually blow the island under water? Was it underwater from the original time that it disappeared? Is that how the Black Rock ends up in the middle of the island?
Hurley sees dead people: We've known for a while that Hurley can see the dead, like when he saw Ana Lucia and Charlie a few times. Since he has that ability, I believe that is why Jacob came to him to help with Sayid. But why save Sayid? Who is Sayid now? We know that child Ben was saved by that same water in the temple when he was given to Richard, but look at what that made ben out to be. Will Sayid have changed too? Is Jacob inhabiting his body, like MIB is doing with Locke? Will the final war be between FLocke and FSayid, aka MIB and Jacob?
Richard in chains??? So clearly Richard (who has been around for a very long time) knows who this MIB is. The MIB/FLocke says to him something like it's nice to see you out of chains. What does that mean? Well, it could mean that he was originally on the Black Rock chained up like those other guys who are now skeletons. But then that would mean Richard was possibly once a bad man or a prisoner. Did Jacob release him from the chains causing him to be Jacob's servant?
Desmond's book:When jack sees Desmond on the plane, Des is holding a book by Salman Rushdie. The interesting thing about Rushdie is that he is most known for his work called, " Satanic Verses" which I find super interesting, especially since I'm leaning toward the MIB being Lucifer (or someone like that). However, the book that Des is holding is a very complicated one called, "Haroun and the Sea of Stories" which takes place in a sad city, the saddest of cities, a city so ruinously sad it had forgotten its name. It also has a place where the weather changes in reflection of the characters' behavior. There are also various islands and a continent is also shown on the moon. There is also a place that is divided between dark and light.
Hurley's guitar case: We find out that in Hurley's guitar case is an ankh, the symbol for eternal life. But what's more interesting is the note hiding inside the ankh. Did Jacob know what was going to happen? He handed Hurley the guitar case before he ever flew back on Ajira, which means that the note had already known the future. that being said, why did the note say that Sayid had to be saved or else? Which leads to my next question, the asian guy had read the note and knowing that Sayid had to be saved or else, he still asked jack for permission to take Sayid's body and save him (which I found kind of weird).
Thanks ODI for the screencap.
Rose and Bernard: Does Rose still have cancer. The two seemed so happy, but if you recall their purpose for being in Australia was to see a healing doctor to get rid of Rose's cancer. By the way, check out the cool little easteregg on the magazine that Rose is holding.
