Hurley likes it Hoth

SO I ABSOLUTELY LOOOVVVVEEED LAST NIGHT'S EPISODE, " SOME LIKE IT HOTH." It can't get any better when you mix LOST with Star Wars and people who talk to the dead. Awesome. Plain and simple awesomeness! There were soooo many Star Wars references so I'll get to those first.

1) Hoth - Hoth was the ice planet featured in Empire Strikes Back. Hoth is the sixth planet of the remote Hoth system. It became famous as the one-time location of the Alliance to Restore the Republic's Echo Base during the Galactic Civil War. It was also the site of the Battle of Hoth, a major engagement between Imperial and Rebel forces. It was also the place where Luke was freezing cold and cut open a Tauntaun and crawled inside to keep warm - yummy!

2) Hoth=ice cold; polar bear talk=ice cold

3) Miles learns who his father is. Luke and Darth Vader had a similar story. Could that mean Dr. Pierre Chang is a member of the dark side?

4) Miles uses his own force to talk to dead people. Luke used the force to move things. But let's not forget he saw his favorite dead people at the end of Return of the Jedi.

5) Hurley talks of Luke getting his hand cut off and well most of us know what eventually happens to Dr. Marvin Candle/Chang (he loses and arm as seen in the Dharma videos)

6) Hurley apparently rewrites Empire Strikes Back. I'd love to see that version where Luke and Darth have a heart to heart.

7) This was definitely a "father" episode for many reasons. But I wanted to point out that Roger is suddenly concerned for Ben, even though he has always blamed and mistreated Ben for killing his mother while in labor. Similar to what happened to Padme Amidalia when Luke and Lei were born.

8) Could Miles be the cause of his own daddy issues? Remember back in the Orchid video when Dr. Chang freaks out because both rabbits are too close. Could Miles have his heart to heart, Chang freaks and send mom and baby away?

9) Since Hurley is writing and talking about the place of Galactic Civil War, should we expect the beginning of our LOST war?

With Star Wars aside...

10) We find out 100% that Widemore was behind planting the fake Oceanic plane in the ocean when Miles does his talking to dead people thing for Naomi.

11) Numbers 4,8, 15, 16, 23, 42 where everywhere: there was a 8 on the ear of the ceramic rabbit outside of the dead man's door when Miles was young, the microwave in the apartment says 3:16, 4 on the apartment door, and of course Hurley actually watching them put the #s on the Hatch door. But why does a hatch door need a serial number?

12) So a guy died by his metal filling - could it have been put in by Bernard (since he is a dentist)

13) Bram (the guy in the van who grabbed Miles) was also seen flying over on Ajira. He was the guy last week on the beach with Ilana holding a gun at Frank. But whose team is he on? We know there's Widmore vs Ben. It doesn't seem like he's on Widmore's because he wanted Miles to miss the boat. It doesn't seem like he's Ben's team because Ben clearly didn't recognize them on the beach when asking to help with the chest. But Is Bram and Ilana on a third team that knows something about what lies in the shadow of the statue? I believe they're looking and may belong to Richard's original people. Or, could they be with the original Hanso/Dharma Initiative?

14) So the sub arrives with Faraday (YAY) but it came with a load of scientists from Ann Arbor. So I'm hoping we'll finally get to meet the DeGroots (founders of the Dharma Initiative). But what I'm really hoping for is the meeting of Hanso!!!

15) The chalkboard that Jack is erasing has a a lesson about Egyptian mythology.

16) Everyone has daddy issues on LOST: Miles, Kate, Jack, Sawyer, Locke, Claire (being that her dad was Christian and he didn't live in Australia), Ben.

17) Miles sees baby Miles - so that means that two of the same people can exist in the same place at the same time

18) Polar Bear talk - Hurley is threatened to weigh Polar Bear poop - why are they weighing poop - who know? Dr. Chang is reading a polar bear book to baby Miles. Talk of Hoth - an icy cold place.

I seriously can't wait for the the Faraday episode!!!!!!!!!!

Holy Smoke Monster

WOW!!! All I can say is HOLY SMOKE! WOW WOW WOW! Dead is Dead was such an amazing episode of LOST. Something I've been waiting for for such a long time. We actually met Smokey! And it was amazing!!! Plus, we got almost an hour of Ben and Locke and LOST can never go wrong with two of their most amazing characters.

1) OK, I'm saying. I'm just putting my new theory out there right at the start: Current alive Locke is Smokey playing dress up. We clearly saw that Smokey takes other forms, such as with Alex in the temple, why not Locke? For the moment enlighten me and ponder this: a) Locke is alive after he was clearly killed by Ben, b) When Ben conjures Smokey, Locke comes out from the buses, c) Locke knows exactly where to find Smokey (yet we've never actually seen Locke at the temple before this ep. Only once dragged down a hole by Mr. Smoke and looking into "the eye of the island," d) when Ben goes to find Smokey below the surface Locke goes to find rope, e) when Ben is done having is chat with Smokey in the form of Alex Locke reappears with rope, f) Ben is told by Smokey to follow whatever Locke says!!! Maybe the title of the episode says it all "Dead IS Dead." OR - is Ben the one who is really dead? I mean he has been shot and beaten to a pulp several times. SO NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK?

2) Here's your brief lesson in Egyptian mythology (take a look at the pic above): Anubis is presumably on the right. Anubis was the god to protect the dead and bring them to the afterlife. He was usually portrayed as a half human, half jackal, or in full jackal form wearing a ribbon and holding a flail in the crook of its arm. Most likely all we have left of him is a foot statue now. HOWEVER, then there is a depiction of the Smoke Monster on the left of the picture. This is where I get excited about the Egyptian Apep, an evil demon, the deification of darkness and chaos. As the personification of all that was evil, Apep was seen as a giant snake, crocodile, serpent, or in later years, in a few cases, as a dragon, leading to titles such as Serpent from the Nile, and Evil lizard. Some elaborations even said that he stretched 16 yards in length and had a head made of flint. (Flint is what hikers use to make fires...which make smoke!!!) Plus, n an annual rite, called the Banishing of Apep, priests would build an effigy of Apep that was thought to contain all of the evil and darkness in Egypt, and burn it to protect everyone from Apep's influence for another year. AND, Apep was thought to live in the underworld, he was sometimes thought of as an Eater-up of Souls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3) Ben clearly has mommy issues. We all know that his mom died while giving birth to him and his father went around blaming him for killing her. Poor Ben. Now he's faced with killing Danielle and Alex, BUT he can't cuz there's a baby involved. Later, history repeats itself once more and we see Ben faced with trying to kill Penny (so glad he didn't), BUT he can't cuz there's a baby involved. So, it seems Ben does have a week side.

4) Who actually killed Alex? Keamy because he's a jerk. Widmore because he wanted revenge on Ben for getting booted from the island or maybe thought it would be a ticket back if he did what was initially supposed to have been done? Ben because he had to think of the island above anything else? OR Smokey, because she was bound to die anyway (according to Widmore)?

5) If Alex died because Ben was protecting the island, which is what he was initially supposed to do in the first place, does he really need to ask for forgiveness?

6) Widmore truly is the bad guy! He disobeyed the rules, went island and woman hopping way too many times, and really is kind of a jerk.

7) Going out on a limb here - Richard Alpert has always been on the island and is actually Egyptian (given the eyeliner look)! Maybe he is Jacob! Maybe Jacob is his father! maybe him and Jacob are brothers. Who knows, but I want a Richard Alpert flashback!

8) Who is Illana and why is she on this island with a big metal box? Why does Ben not seem to know or care, when he seems to know everything. And what's with, " What lies in the shadow of the statue?" Is she talking the whole thing or just the foot? Is it another code like the snowman/carrot riddle? Was she sent by Widmore?

9) Now that Ben is back is he a bit different? It seems he may not know as much as before. He didn't know about Hurley and the gang in the Dharma Initiative ( and while that is actually happening now in the past - it DID happen - cuz what happened happened!). He seems to truly not have known that Ben would be totally alive again (even though I think he may have had a clue it could work). He doesn't know where to find Smokey - which I found really weird. We definitely saw a more vulnerable Ben in this episode.

10) Who lived in Ben's house before Ben? I mean it does lead to Smokey's lair. Someone obviously built the house on top of Smokey's underground chambers.

11) Did taking Alex cause the island pregnancy problem? If the island or Jacob wanted Alex and Danielle dead, and Ben chose to save their life (a baby's life) then maybe killing babies before they're born was the other alternative. Especially since later on when Widmore is leaving it is clearly stated that he had a baby OFF the island with a woman. Why not on the island with a woman?

12) SO briefly this season I thought the whispers where people in a different time standing in the same place while talking (as in Sawyer watching Kate). That's obviously not the case. Now Ben tells Danielle to run the other way if she hears whispers. Why? Are the whispers related to the Others? If you can stretch your brain back to season 1 she told Sayid that she never saw them, but she heard them.

13) Why does Ben tell Sun to apologize to Desmond for him? The attempt to kill Penny doesn't seem like something Ben would apologize for. Was it for shooting Desmond and then realizing he has a kid? Possibly. Was it one last chance to redeem himself before having a face to face with Smokey?

14) Why does Charles so desperately want to go back? His life seems pretty good (even though he doesn't have a relationship with Penny). Why can't he talk to Elloise and figure a way to get back? I mean yes he was banished, but what is really stopping him from going back. Especially if he was able to send a freighter full of people there. Will the whole trying to kill Penny thing set her on a reconciliation trip to find her father and get revenge on Ben and get Desmond back to the island.

15) When Ben enters his old house the game Risk is exactly where Sawyer and Hurley left it right before Keamy came barging into Otherton and shot Alex. Which means what? Well, it could mean that the Ajira flight has actually landed just after Claire's house blew up, Alex was shot and the O6 and Ben left the island, which is why Sun isn't running into herself. Or am I way off and they can't run into themselves? I have a headache.

16) Why didn't Desmond die? I saw he has Michael syndrome - the island won't let him.

17) Close up on Locke's shoes. Why? We know he's wearing Christian's shoes cuz Jack put them on him. So is he filling Christian's shoes? I kinda say no cuz we just saw Christian talking to Sun. hmmm?

18) Does Smokey take people to the afterlife and if so, then is Ben not worthy of going yet??? Let's ponder this for a sec... Shannon became a better person and died. Boone became a better person and died. Charlie quit drugs, cared about everyone, sacrificed himself, became a better person and died, Michael couldn't die at first then saved everyone, sacrificed his life, became a better person and died. Ana Lucia - better person= died. Libby - better person= died. So who has been seriously hurt and hasn't died?Ben! Ben has been shot at, stabbed, beaten and is still living to talk about it. Jack! Jack even tried to kill himself and it got interrupted. Saywer has been very seriously hurt and is living to talk about it. Locke has been shot at and murdered and is still walking around (maybe alive - I believe he's Smokey tho). Claire blew up in her house and came out ok (kinda). Where she is, I have no idea.

19) Why did Ben have to drain out the water to summon Smokey? Is it a Smoke can't mix with water thing? Is that why we never see Smokey on the beach?

20) Last, but never least, young Widmore on a horse looked absolutely ridiculous! What is with that Fabio hair!?! Ben's younger hair days kinda sucked too!

A LOST MIX

Here's your gigantic dose LOST from my world. Think of it as LaFleur, Namaste, He's Our You, and Whatever Happened Happend blended up and poured into a chilled margarita glass for you while sitting on a tropical island in the middle of nowhere during 1977 with blue vans driving by. Here we go:

1) Who is this Radzinsky guy? We've actually seen his work before (besides his Swan hatch model) and have been quite amazed.
Radzinsky actually has a histry (or shall I say future) working with Kelvin (Desmond's buddy in the Swan Hatch). Radzinsky was the guy that drew that crazy neon hatch drawing on the blast door that Locke found as it closed on him.
Radzinsky was also the guy who edited the Swan Orientation film. Kelvin told Desmond that, while he was asleep, Radzinsky committed suicide by putting a shotgun in his mouth and firing it, creating a blood stain on the ceiling. Because of the protocol, Kelvin had to bury him within 108 minutes. Desmond is assumed to be Radzinsky's replacement.

2) What has happened in the last 3 years? - Sawyer became head of security for the Dharma Initiative, fell in love with Juliet and made a nice little life for himself in Dharmaville. Meanwhile back on the mainland Jack grew a beard, became a drunk, lost his engagement with Kate, lost his rights to see his nephew, and tried to commit suicide. Who's the leader now, Jack? Who's the leader now? Sawyer has his life together keeping his friends safe and Jack couldn't get lead a pack of wolves to sheep if he had to.

3) When Sun is in the house with Frank and Christian (looking at Jin's Dharma pic) it looks as if someone is in the background. Probably Claire???

4) Locke and Christian both arrive on the islands in coffins and both looking very much alive. Which leads me to belive that Christian was on that island pre Oceanic crash, like Locke was there pre Ajira crash.

5). Does 1977 Chef Hurley order the food drops for 2004 Hurley?

6) Young Ben gives locked up Sayid a book called "A Separate Reality."Pretty interesting since that's exactly where they are. The book (often read and used for lyrics by Jim Morrison from the Doors) states, " Castaneda (author) describes the experiences he has with Don Juan while under the influence of the psychotropic plants that Don Juan offered him, peyote (Lophophora williamsii) and a smokable mixture of what Castaneda believed to be, among other plants, dried mushroom of the genus Psilocybe. The main focus of the book centered around Don Juan's attempts at getting Carlos to See, a practice best described as, in Castaneda's own words, "perceiving energy directly as it flows through the universe".

7) Just need to point out the Geranamo Jackson poster in the cafeteria - it's really been a hot topic on LOST this season. More info on the band here: http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Geronimo_Jackson

8) Why was the Swan Hatch built you are wondering: it was originally built to study the island's unique electro-magnetic properties. Then an incident happens before 1980 and after the Swan is in place. The incident is the reason someone had to push the button every 108 minutes. So there is actually a time where someone in the Swan Hatch doesn't have to be enslaved to the button.

9) In Whatever Happened Happened we can see the gradual shift in Jack. He sounds just like Locke. He's there for a reason. He has no idea why, but he had to go back. He's just waiting to see what happens next.

10) Richard mentions Ellie and Charles Widmore. So, Ben is living on the island at the same time as Charles. Now Richard takes Ben into Smokie's temple and does his whole Pet Cemetery thing on him to save that little boy's butt. Meanwhile Ben loses his innocence (whatever that means - he's a messed up little boy to begin with) and will be cared for my the Other's. Will he be raised by his archenemy Charles now???

11) Apparently Claire is still alive somewhere on a LOST island (according to Kate). Who she's with and where she is - who the heck knows. But Aaron's with grandma now and that's all good. However, Kate can't keep a secret. Sawyer's ex and Claire's grandma now know of LOST island.

12) Ben grows up having Kate's blood in him. Just had to point out the weirdness in that! Could that possibly be why he first shared a romantic breakfast on the beach with her way back when?

13) Juliet helps saves Ben's life. Could that be why Ben specifically requested Juliet as the baby doctor and then fell in love with her.

14) Sayid, Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Juliet made Ben who he is today.

15) Who is the doctor in the Looking Glass station (the one under water)? The Fuselage has a lot of theories going on, but I'll give you my favorite. Ray Shephard! That would be jack's grandfather. Totally possible that jack's grandpa is a DI doc in the 70s.

16) Locke greets Ben with "welcome back to the land of the living." So what's that supposed to mean???

17) We see Richard carry Ben into the temple (Smokey's home) - looks like we'll get a face to face with Smokey pretty soon!

The Life & Death of Jeremy Bentham

Locke lives and dies and lives and dies. Great episode, but aren't they all. However, I have one thing that I'm a little disappointed with. I'm kinda bummed that we didn't get another great airplane breaking apart, crashing into pieces special effects scene. Besides that - I loved it! I've got your answers and many more questions.

1). I did my research on this one. The epi opens with Ceaser (the new guy) in the Hydra hatch flipping through papers and magazines. We quickly get a glimpse and close up of the above LIFE magazine. The following is what's in that edition: Life Magazine April 19, 1954 : Color Cover - the awesome fireball. Color pictures of the Hydrogen test. Dave Beck, former boss of goons, emerges as labor’s new strong man. Neat full page Champions spark plug ad with Sam Hanks and his car. Full page Sacony clothing as with Eileen Carlson. From cheers to “phooey” for McCarthy. Striking two page color Buick car ad with one color page - yellow car on red background. Humorous land sale in Texas, Lazy C ranch, BenJack Cage, 2 square inches for 75 cents. Buffalo’s Cleveland Hill school fire traps pupils at music lesson, with photos of whole class plus Dennis Cervi, Michael Cody, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Frank, Joseph O. DuPont, many died. Pictorial essay - a vision of Easter painted by William Blake. Feature on the spice Curry. Pictorial essay - World’s most exclusive clubmen. Oxford has 100th crewing boat race, includes many photos historic and current including J.J.H. Harrison, W. R. Marsh. Aviation - a new sight in soaring, new glider has engine and propeller - the Hummingbird, with Harry Perl and Ted Nelson. Life visits the best dressed woman in Brazil, Thereza Leite de Souza Campos. Dave Beck, boss of the Teamsters. Full page color Herbert Tareyton cigarette ad with Barbara and James Punderford.
This is what I find interesting - it's got a boat race (arrows point to Desmond) & Ceaser even flips briefly to a page that looks a bit like a boat in water.

2) Ceaser is obviously looking for something and hiding a secret - is he good or evil? I think he's evil and one of Widemore's guys. I get the feeling he's on a mission and knows what he's doing there.

3) The Hydra has the answers. Ceaser finds the maps of the island and a pretty interesting physics explanation - we've got SPACE TIME, REAL TIME and IMAGINARY TIME!!! WHAT???

4) Locke's first scene with the hood removal totally reminded me of Star Wars and Obi Wan Kenobi. Locke is the new island Jedi Master.

5) Hurley painting a sphinx - what is the significance? WELL, "Sphinx" came from the Greek verb "sphingo" meaning "to strangle (which is exactly what happens to Locke). Plus, there's the old story when Oedipus correctly answered the riddle "man" — who crawls on all fours in infancy, walks on two feet when grown, and leans on a staff in old age — the sphinx killed herself (which is what Locke tried to do)

6) Did Widmore set up the cameras in Tunisia after Ben did his wheel turning traveling? Those cameras weren't there when Ben arrived. So, why are they now when Locke arrives? How did Widmore know where to set them up? Is it the same place that Charlotte found the polar bear remains?

7) Who left in the canoe with Lapidus? My guess is Sun off to find Jin. But why wouldn't they disappear like Jack, Hurley and Kate? They all left together, shouldn't they disappear into thin air together too?

8) What the heck happened to Aaron and why isn't anyone concerned?

9) Since the plane looks totally in tact, given that Lapidus is such a great pilot and all, how the heck did Locke get out of the coffin and onto the beach??? Is he a ghost Locke that people can see?

10) So why did Ben save Locke, only to kill him? I have a few ideas. #1 idea- Ben actually went to Locke to save him because he needed him for information such as Mrs Hawking and Jin's ring. When he heard that Locke had made a promise to Jin about the ring, you could see the shift in Ben's eyes and Ben had a change of heart. Ben now realized the bigger plan. Jin is alive, Mrs. Hawking is the one who can help. We need to create a similar "Oceanicesque" situation and Locke will now play Chriatian, since it's so darn convenient. Plus, with Locke dead, Ben now can get to Jack (the weak one by using Locke's dead body as leverage). #2 idea - If you kill yourself you don't get resurrected on the island. Christian killed himself by drinking himself to death, came to island in a coffin and is now the island ghost. Maybe Ben couldn't let the same happen to Locke because there is more work for Locke on the island. #3 idea - Ben never intentionally went to Locke to kill him. He went there empty handed and got the cleaning solution and gloves after he killed him.

11) Remember the 4 toed statue. Do we get a hint at it? I think we most certainly do several times throughout the episode in ever shot of Locke's foot in a cast.

12) Locke is like Jesus hanging on a cross, soon to be resurrected.

13) Locke's suicide cord comes from a place called ANGELS. It's written on the bag that he pulls the cord out of.

14) Walt still is special. He knew Locke was across the street before he saw him. He also had a dream of Locke in the future in a suit, on the island and that people want to hurt him.

15) Since we see Jin as part of the Dharma initiative, is he the one who initially taught Charlotte how to speak Korean since she was there as a young girl.

16) Why didn't Locke's paralysis come back once he left the island? Yes, he was in a wheelchair for a broken leg, but he was still hobbling around on crutches for a moment.

17) How did Widmore know that Ben tried to kill Locke? He says something like, " I haven't tried to kill you yet. Can you say the same for Ben?"

18) Why didn't Walt ask about Vincent? Doesn't he wonder what happened to his dog? Does Walt know more than he's revealing. Does he really know what happened to his dad?

That's all or now. I know, I'm still LOST too.

This Place is Death & 316

First I owe you a huge apology! SORRY! Sorry sorry sorry. I m so sorry That I totally skipped out on This Place is Death and am coming up late on 316. I can blame it on a million things, but let's just say I got LOST. Anyway, now you get a double dose.

THIS PLACE IS DEATH/316

1. OK so check this out (esp since we're doing a double header) Check out Christian Shephard's shoes when Locke is in the cave with him. They are NOT white anymore! This is pretty interesting, especially since we find out the reason for the white shoes in 316. Does this mean Locke is taking Christian's place on the island? Will he be the new ghost on the island since we know he ends up in a casket being kept chilled in a butcher freezer of sorts. Were the dark shoes he was wearing his own that Jack eventually gets in 316? If they were the dark shoes that Jack puts on Lock's feet in 316, what are they doing on Christian's feet in This Place is Death???

2. How long has Faraday actually been on the island? Is he just like Alpert? Does Faraday age? Apparently, Charlotte saw him when she was a kid and he was a man. OR, did he simply just go back to tell her to never come back because she will die (since he now knows her fate)?

3. (really try hard to wrap your mind around this one) - Locke goes down the well which is already built to where the wheel is, then time flashes backward, the well is gone, but Sawyer is still holding the rope which is stuck deep in the ground because whatever you hold stays with you. NOW there is a location to dig a future well because Sawyer has marked it! Without Sawyer's rope, there is no well! (aka chicken and egg)

4. Why didn't Rousseau ever remember Jin from the past? He was there to save her and Alex from our lovable smoke monster. I'm not about to check now, but I'd love to know how many interactions Jin and Rousseau actually had in the last 4 seasons. Did they really ever interact after Oceanic's crash? I mean there was a 16 year time gap, so maybe she wouldn't have actually recognized him??? Actually here's the lowdown from Thefuselage:

In season 1, Danielle has contact with Sayid in "Solitary", with Hurley in" Numbers", and then she comes to the ebach camp in "Exodus, Part 1". Danielle and Jin have no interaction in that episode, and by the end of the episode, Jin sails off on the raft.

In "One of Them", Danielle only has intereaction with Sayid.

In "Maternity Leave", Jin doesn't appear.

Throughout most of season 3, Danielle is trekking to Otherville with Kate, Locke and Sayid.

They have no interaction in "Greatest Hits" or "Through the Looking Glass".

Danielle and Jin never meet each other face to face before season 5

5. Caravaggio's famous painting named "The Incredulity of Saint Thomas" pointed out by Ellie Hawking: I believe this painting is directly pointing to a Jack metaphor. Thomas was the apostle who would not believe the resurrection of Jesus until he saw Jesus with his own eyes. jack needs to be convinced with his own eyes. The painting also is about resurrection - which we see a lot of on the island - people assumed to be dead are always coming back.

6. Is Miles really Dr Chang's son? He says he's from Encino! (shout out to san fernando valley -woot woot) My favorite line of the night by the way.

7. Christian Shephard was holding a lantern - so ghosts can hold things on the island or is he really a ghost?

8. Geronimo Jackson strikes again on LOST! Charlotte refers to Geronimo Jackson! What is that, like the 5th time or something?

9. Locke knows about Miles gift of talking to the dead. As Locke travels down the well, he says goodbye to Sawyer and Julietm but directly to Miles he says, "See you when I get back."

10. The message from the radio tower which replaced the numbers- Jin's fault. He was the one that told the French people about the radio tower.

11. Ben uses Jin's wedding ring to get Sun back to the island even though Jin told Locke to use it for the exact opposite. How did Ben get it? What did Locke tell ben about the ring? Locke made a promise to Jin that he wouldn't take Sun back. Is he keeping his promise now, since Ben is the one luring her back?

12. Why did Ben originally turn the wheel, when Christian told Locke that Locke had to be the one to turn it? Locke never told Ben who he actually spoke to Jacob or Christian. And when Ben asked what they were supposed to do, Locke said, "We have to move the island." Not I have to move the island.

316

13. white shoes on Christian - they were the only one's Jack had. Now he gets his dad's black ones, puts them on Locke's feet and if you look back to episode This Place is Death - I believe Christian is wearing them??? hmmmm

14. Narnia. I know what a weird correlation, but the writers and producers love the book references. First, let me start with Charlotte Staples Lewes - RIP from This Place is Death. However, her initials are CS Lewis just like the author of Narnia. NOW, the fun begins.

15. The off island hatch is called the Lamp Post!!! The lamp post is a HUGE symbol in the Narnia book, The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe. Remember when Lucy goes through the wardrobe and enters Narnia, she comes upon a lamp post which lights the way. Much like our off island hathc which lights the way back to the island. There was also a lamp lighter in the book The Little Prince.

16. Ben lied about his mother teaching him to read. His mother died when Ben was born. (great line though).

17. Locke's suicide note read, "I wish you had believed me." Which in my interpretation means, you should have never left, which means that Sun would have died and Ji Yeon wouldn't have been born, which means that Charlotte is right in that Jin should not let Locke bring her back there because the island will course correct itself, which means...
PLUS - From the Bible - John 3.16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life"
John Locke needed jack to believe.

18. Why weren't they dressed to survive on an island? Did they pack suitcases, knives, matches?

19. kinda funny - LOST has featured the Wilhelm scream! For anyone who doesn't know what the Wilhelm scream is, this youtube video will help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdbYsoEasio
You can hear it in 316 at about 39:20 (time without commercials... 2 or 3 minutes to the end) as the flight is going down.

20. How did Hurley know about the flight and why does he have a guitar? How did he get out of jail? Did the Charlie ghost tell him?

21. Lapidus as the pilot was CLASSIC!

22. Similarities of Ajira and Oceanic passengers:
Sun has Jin's ring, like Rose had Bernard's
Jack has Locke's letter, like Sawyer did had a letter to Locke's father -the original con man?
Hurley has an instrument case...like Charlie Pace
Sayid boarded in handcuffs...like Kate on 815.
What about Kate? maybe she's pregnant like Claire? or bitchy like Shannon?

23. Similarities to pre-boarding:
Hurley has a disagreement and trouble getting on the flight
Jack having an issue about bringing a dead body on the plane
Hurley was also reading a comic book
jack was in a bar (like when he met Ana Lucia)
The officer escorting Sayid kinda resemples Ana Lucia (who was an officer)

24. Similarities to crashing:
Jack wakes up in the jungle
Someone is drowning
Someone is screaming
Separation between other passengers

25. Where did Ben go and how kicked his butt? Let's hope he didn't try to kill Penny. Ben was reading Ulysses in the plane, which contains a chapter entitled "Penelope" which is Penny's real name.

26. What did Kate do with Aaron? My guess is she dropped him off with Claire's mom.

27. From the Bible - John 3.16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life"
John Locke needed jack to believe.

28. And a biggie for the last one - Charlie's dad's name was Simon who was a butcher. The name of the place keeping Locke's body cold - "Simon's Butcher Shop"

Ghostbusters Video Game

The Ghostbusters video game is almost here. It's being released on June 16, 2009 for Playstation, Wii and XBox (along with the release of the original movie on Blu-Ray). I took a look at the game last year at Comic Con and it looked AWESOME!!! The really cool thing is that the game will feature the original characters and their real voices. Get ready to fight ghosts with Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson. Plus, the game also features our favorite gob of goo, Slimer and the very tasty Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
Check out a sneak peak:

A LOST Little Prince

LOST's episode 5.4, The Little Prince was WOW! SO MANY ANSWERS REVEALED!!! You wanted answers - we got them. We also got more questions, book references and an a new anagram! This is so exciting! So let's see what The Little Prince gave us:

1. My first observation (and this is totally probably nothing) but this season Aaron always seems to have something red in his hand. Last week it was a red crayon and this episode began with a bottle of ketchup. hmmmmm. It's probably nothing, but I just wanted to point it out.

2. Sun has been watching and investigating Ben and Jack for a short while - we can see this from the pictures she pulls out of the envelope. However, if you pause right at the perfect moment the report she got is dated 2004 and has the names Allie Lamar, Walbert Dopelson on it. hmmmm? Didn't those fake chocolates look real?

3. Nose bleeds correlate with time on the island. Charlotte was there the earliest. Miles' bloody nose came next, which may mean that he came next to the island. (Like I said in the past - probably Dr. Chang's son). Juliet, next. Then would come the Oceanic peeps and lastly Faraday, since he was a freighter boy. However, things may turn out differently.

4. How does Locke know that the O6 are still alive when he saw Keamy's arm bomb thingy turn off?

5. Who's the guy who tried to kill Sayid and why does he have Kate's address? I doubt he's one of Ben's men, so who is he with - possibly Widmore? Sayid sure is a badass!

6. Hurley looks great in orange!

7. Jack's phone # is 323-555-0156! Guess he lives in Hollywood or near there.

8. They meet at slip 23 in the marina - shout out to one of Hurley's #s

9. The beam of light! Looked like the light on the top of the Luxor hotel to me - but we all know it was the moment the Swan hatch light went on for Locke! What an epic moment in LOST history, and now we get to see if from afar. Locke knew exactly "when" they were.

10. Kate, Claire and the delivery of Aaron. That meant that Jin and Charlie were standing nearby. The birth of Aaron was also the same moment that Boone died. A lot was going on the island at that moment. But this is where I toot my own horn and say, "I told you so!" Now we can totally assume we know what the whispers are (which I've been saying for a very long time - go check out my posts from The Fuselage if you don't believe me). The whispers are people in or around the exact same spot in another time (kinda like a different dimension - there but not 'there').

11. Where are Rose and Bernard?

12. Where the heck did Claire ever get to?

13. The Little Prince - what's with the name? Besides that fact that it's a French book and we see Danielle Rousseau and her French team, there's a lot on this book and it's correlation with LOST! I love the LOST writers. FIRST OF ALL - The book was written by a French PILOT!!! HA! His name is Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The idea for the book first came to the author after he experienced a plane crash in the Sahara. The story starts out talking about a jungle and introducing the narrator as a pilot. It also begins with a child vs adult perception of a child's drawing of a snake eating an elephant. The child sees the snake, but to the adult's eye it looks like a picture of a hat. There is a short lesson here about how one views life. The story also mentions a shipwreked sailor in the middle of an ocean. The narrator and a little prince meet in a desert where the narrator crashed his plane. The little prince reveals that he is from another planet. The little prince keeps saying how everything is so small where he is from. This little prince was from astroid B-612. (hmmm more #s). The little prince is also looking for sheep (could the O6 be Ben's sheep). The story also mentions France. One line that intrigues me in the book is when the little prince says,"I am very busy with matters of consequence."Next the little prince spoke of a flower that he loved but felt was in danger. He also felt that even though he had love for this flower, the flower would never know his love (Does this sound like Sawyer and Kate to anyone?). The flower in the book also has a strong personality and expresses no fear in the face of tigers. The little prince describes the flower as a "very complex creature." The little prince describes being "too young to know how to love her."The little prince then leaves his flower and visits 6 different astroid planets inhabited by 6 different beings (all seeming to represent a side of Sawyer that we have seen in the past). The little prince first meets a king that insists that his authority be respected (let's recall the "new sheriff in town" line), then the little prince meets a conceited man who only heard praise, then he met an alcoholic (and while Jack has been our depressed alcoholic time and again, Sawyer never passes up the chance for a Dharma beer), then he meets a business man who is counting all the stars because he wants them for himself (let's remember who the 'real Sawyer' was - be it con man or Locke's dad aka Tom Sawyer), then he meets a Lamplighter - the only one who is doing something for the good of others, but just follows orders (I think we've seen Sawyer take the back seat before), and lastly MY FAVORITE, the little prince meets a man who is reading a large book (hmmm have we ever seen Sawyer reading - YA like almost every episode)!!! However, the man is a geographer who specifically says he knows the location of all the seas, rivers, towns, mountains, and deserts. Interestingly, the geographer tells the little prince that his beloved flower is ephemeral, meaning that it will die one day. Lastly, the little prince goes to earth. When the little prince meets a fox on earth we get a neet quote, "Here is my secret. It's quite simple: One sees clearly only with the heart. Anything essential is invisible to the eyes. . . . It's the time that you spent on your rose that makes your rose so important. . . . People have forgotten this truth,” the fox said, “But you mustn't forget it. You become responsible for what you've tamed. You're responsible for your rose. . . .” (My belief, if I haven't been clear yet is, Sawyer is the little prince and Kate is the rose, and LOST has a ton of metaphors from the book The Little Prince).

14. Ajira - we finally see our new airline http://www.ajiraairways.com/
I wonder who came on the flight? Maybe that's why that runway was being built way back when. I wonder if they just missed themselves leaving on an Ajira flight home. Hope Vincent's ok. Maybe all the empty beer cans were left over from a celebration party.

15. Locke is exactly where he needs to be.

16. Why the hell is Sawyer wearing red!?! Get that red shirt off of him and put any other color on him!!! You all know what a red shirt means and it can't be good.

17. Wonder who is in the other Ajira boat?

18. Claire's mother knows nothing about nothing - apparently.

19. YAY a LOST anagram - you guessed it - that van does say something. CANTON RAINIER when all mixed up says, "REINCARNATION" dun dun dun!!!

20. JIN IS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Again tooting my horn - I knew it!!! Except I thought he'd be stuck in the middle of leaving and the time warp. Apparently, he's caught in the time warp. But how does Jin meeting Danielle Rousseau work with what Daniel Faraday said about not being able to change the past??? AND MY BIG QUESTION IS THIS - Did Jin get thrown into Danielle's time or is he momentarily caught in one of our time flashes. Will he run into Sawyer and Locke and join them or is he stuck in a different time shift since he was so far away from the island when it disappeared? What happens if Jin tells Danielle not to let Ben ever take Alex? Then what?

21. How did Sun know where they were all meeting? Guess she's still following Ben.

22. The French guy and the receiver playing Hurley's numbers!!! We see and hear the original moment before Danielle recorded over it!!! Loved it!

23. Here's a BIG question (thanks Tamara for bringing it to my attention): Why were our island friends able to keep the canoe? Shouldn't it have disappeared when the island flashed again, leaving them swimming in the ocean? OR, do they get to keep anything they hold on to? Such as Locke's compass? He was given the compass by Alpert during a different time, Locke is able to hold on to it for some time. When he meets Alpert in the past and tells him about the compass, he drops it and it leaves with the flash. I also believe that Sawyer picked up his new gun from someone in "Because You Left." What happens if he puts it down during a flash?

Lost in Jughead w/ questions, answers and theories

Season 5 is off to a great start on LOST. Episode 3, entitled 'Jughead' answered some of our much pondered questions, and yet still kept us asking "what the heck is this about?" Here is my take on some of the things I noticed and some of the things I wonder about:

1. I'll start with a biggie - Mrs. Hawking! While we didn't see her as we know her, I do believe she made an appearance in this episode. Daniel Faraday meets Ellie (the blonde girl with the gun who takes him to the warhead) and mentions that she reminds him of someone! I wonder who that could be??? I say she reminds him of his mom because it is his mom - Mrs. Ellie Hawking (possibly Eloise Hawking - remember Faraday's rat named Eloise)!

2. We also find out that Mr. Charles Widmore is stationed on the island in his younger years. Hmmm, I wonder what would happen if Charles and Ellie hooked up on the island? Is it possible they made a baby - maybe Daniel Faraday - which would mean that Penny is his sister. Could this be one of the reasons Mr. Widmore has been funding his research? And who is Penny's mom??? Guess we'll have to wait to find out.

3. Baby Charlie! Desmond and Penny have a baby and name him Charlie! Congratulations to them! But is he named after Desmond's long lost island rocker friend who died at the hand of Patchy or is the young boy named after Penny's dad Charles Widmore?

4. Love the painting Mr. Widmore! But we've all seen that polar bear/namaste painting hanging in your office before, OR HAVE WE???. Just had to point it out! The first pic is from Jughead.

This one is from "Flashes Before Your Eyes"

5. Daniel confesses his love for Charlotte - ahhh how sweet. But if he loves her so much, why isn't he telling her why she's sick?

6. Latin - why is it necessary for the Others to learn Latin? Well, let's see what we know about Latin - it was orininally spoken in Ancient Rome (maybe this has something to do with the big foot statue); the popularity of speaking Latin began to decline after the 16th century; Latin is still used in the Catholic Church; and things of a scientific nature are often given Latin names

7. Juliet sure is sneaky. She knows Latin! She knows Richard! She knows Richard has been on the island for a very long time. I think she has more than just a clue about what's going on. But, she hasn't been there that long - I wonder how much she really knows. She did choose to stay behind for a reason!

8. Who else has been looking for Daniel Faraday in Oxford? And who the heck was that random guy who followed Desmond into his workshop?

9. It all makes sense now!!! Now we know why Richard Alpert showed up at Locke's birth. Locke tells Richard his birthdate and Richard follows him around throughout life. We even saw Locke leave his compass behind before the flash, which is later presented to Locke in the foster home by Richard when Locke was just a lil' Locke (yet Locke chooses the knife over all the other items because the event hasn't happened yet).

10. This would suck - Desmond goes to see Faraday's experiment gone wrong - a woman named Theresa Spencer = anagram "Each Represents" (thanks Jopinionated for that great catch) is lying there in bed stuck in her head. Now I know the writers are way toooooo creative, but what if everything on LOST was just Daniel's experiment gone wrong and LOST was just a story inside of that poor woman's head. Geez that would suck!

11. Miles has super powers - So did he get them from being Pierre Chang's kid and growing up on this crazy island or what? He can clearly hear dead people, Daniel knows all about it, and isn't at all surprised.

12. Why Jughead - who names a warhead Jughead anyway? The obvious thought is that Jughead comes from the Archie Comics. Well, let's look at a few possibilities: From the Archie Comics, Jughead's First name was Forsythe which actually means 'fear' 'peace.' OK, that could be a possibility. Jughead's middle name is "Pendleton," the name of a military base in CA. What else could Jughead stand for? Jughead always wore a crown and get this, "The dot and dash that adorn his hat constitute the Morse code symbol for the letter A." Interesting!!! Wait there's more - Jughead's Time Police was a series that began in 1990 featuring Jughead as a hero of the 29th century and a member of the Time Police, an organization that ensures history to remain the same for the future's sake. Jughead gains the ability to travel to the past and future at will. The main villain was the time-travelling sorceress Morgan le Fay.

That's about all I have. Hope you've enjoyed. Please feel free to send me your questions.

9

First, I must let you know that 9 is my favorite number which makes this even more exciting for me. With that aside, I believe that Tim Burton has created his very best animated masterpiece! The title of the movie is called 9 and opens on 9-9-09. The trailer is one of the coolest I have ever seen in animation. The movie is being produced by Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (the guy who did that really kick ass Angelina Jolie movie, Wanted). The idea for the movie came from the original 2005 Oscar Nominated short film by Shane Acker, who conveniently will be directing this film as well. In addition to the really cool computer animation, the film has awesome music. I swear the preview reminds me of a Tool music video.

So check this out - Here is the actual preview for 9 coming out 9-9-09:

Now take a look at the actual short animated film by Shane Acker that gave life to 9:

LOST Predictions and assumptions

LOST's season 5 premiere was undoubtedly amazing. But I have this sense that many people are scratching their heads and wondering, "huh?" I've already received phone calls, texts and IMs saying, "who was that?" and "why did so and so do that?" So, lets take a look at some questions you might have, dissect them a little and make our own predictions. I promise that I haven't looked at any spoilers for this season yet, so what you're about to read comes straight from my own aquabatty theories and logic.

1. Who is Pierre Chang's/ Dr. Marvin Candle's baby? - My guess is Myles. I believe this for a few reasons: he's Asian, has the gift of hearing spirits, and has a calmness on the island.

2. Jin - Is he dead or did he jump? - Here's the thing, not once in either episode was Jin announced dead. However, if he did jump and survive, is he still back in season 4 time or season 5 flashing sky time? My prediction: Jin survived, but is stuck in the middle.

3. Is Locke dead? - I say no. I actually believe a few different things. I'm kinda leaning towards Locke being Jacob. However, he may just be dead enough to be brought back to life on the island.

4. The whispers - OK follow me here - I believe that the whispers on the island are alive people that are on the island at another time (but also in that same time- sort of) in the exact spot where they're heard. Kind of like a different dimension type of thing. So like when Juliet heard the whispers before seeing Harper in season 4, it was like something else was going on in that exact spot where Juliet was standing, but because it was in a different time, Juliet couldn't see them, just hear them.

5. Ben knows who everyone is - Ben knows who everyone is because he's seen it all before. He has relived this time and time again. It's just like Locke knowing who Ethan is. Ethan had know idea who Locke was because in Ethan's history they had never met, but in Locke's history they did. If Locke would have actually sat and had a conversation with Ethan prior to Charlie shooting him, Locke could have said, "Ethan don't shoot me in the leg. I know who you are. Your name is Ethan. Your dad is so and so. Your birthday is such and such." Ben does that with everyone. Your name is this. You do that. Your birthday is such and such....

6. The rules - Ok so we know that life is like a piece of string - huh? No, but really they move forward and backward but can't change anything. They all have an ultimate destiny - which is why Michael couldn't kill himself. We also know that there are RULES! We can't go back and kill Hitler. However, Keamy did kill Ben's daughter Alex and "changed the rules" and Ben is dumbfounded. So, what does it all mean? I haven't the foggiest. I think it means, kinda like the movie Final Destination, you can't do anything to change the future because it will ultimately catch up with you. Which brings me to my next thought...

7. Charlotte - Her nose was bleeding. I believe she was getting the "sickness" that Frenchie Rousseau kept blabbering about way back when. These are my thoughts - The island jumped into the future at one point and I believe that's when Charlotte's nose started bleeding. If life is a string that has an end point, but somehow you jump past that end point, your body will need to catch up. I think that's what happened. I think the island jumped into the future, passing Charlotte's point of death, causing her nose to bleed and brain to become scrambled. Thus, in order to course correct, she'll have to die. On a small side note, I believe Charlotte is Ben's childhood friend, Annie.

8. Kate's paternity test - I believe Sun ordered it. I believe Sun is now evil and resents Kate for killing Jin and saving her own ass. Let's remember a few things about Sun - 1) she is her father's daughter, 2) she cheated on Jin, 3) she killed Colleen on Desmond's sailboat. But before she pulled the trigger Colleen said something like, "you are not the enemy, but if you kill me that is what you'll become." PLUS, it just so happens that those guys come to Kate's door asking for the blood sample and then minutes later Kate gets a call from Sun saying she's in town. Sun - wearing red (evil/also death color). Her conversation/questioning sounds very manipulative. When asking Kate who came to the house and hearing Kate's answer - Sun doesn't even sound surprised? Sun is so resentful that Kate stuck baby Aaron in Sun's arms on the freighter and said she would get Jin and never did, that I believe Sun has it out for Kate. Plus, Sun throws in that little dig at the end, "So, how's Jack?" Like, how's your love life, since I don't have one.

9. Hurley's mom - I love her. Just had to say that.

10. Hurley - I love him too. If you have know idea what LOST is about just listen to what he tells his mom. His one minute explanation pretty much sums up what LOST is about.

11. Why shoot Sayid with darts? - Why not kill Sayid? Did they know he couldn't die because it wasn't his time?

12. Mrs. Hawking - First let me say I believe she is Dan Faraday's mom who Desmond has to meet in Oxford. Now let me remind you that she is the lady behind the counter where Desmond goes to buy the engagement ring for Penny way back when. After she gives him a ring, then she asks for it back, Desmond won't return it. Then she tells him she knows him, what he needs to do, and what will happen in the future. She is the one who tells Desmond to go to the island and push the button and turn the failsafe key. She also explains about how the universe has a way of course correcting itself (like the movie Final Destination). Now here's my question - Did SHE go back in time to tell Desmond what he had to do in the future? I say probably so. By the way - if you check out her chalk board take a look at the upper right side and you'll see a picture of what looks like the island. AND, is she in an off island hatch? Geez, I wish I took a Physics class.

13. Original Blue Van/Original Orchid Station - It looks as if it was built in the 1970's. I'm guessing by wardrobe, camera equipment, plus we have Willie Nelson's, Shotgun Willie 1973 record skipping on the record player, just like the island eventually does, and just like Faraday explains.- So what exactly was on the island before?

14. Richard Alpert - Besides that fact that he's found the way to eternal youth - he says a few very important things while taking out Locke's bullet- 1. in reference to "gotta get the bullet out" he says, "YOU will tell me" about the bullet- which I believe means, it's happened before or in the future he told Alpert that he was shot in the leg by Ethan, 2. When Locke asks "when am I," he answers, "that's all relative" meaning time is a relative thing, 3. When Locke asks when the sky lit up where Alpert went, he replies, "I didn't go anywhere, you went." This brings me back to my whispers theory, in which I believe one can stand in the same place, while another travels to that same place through history (both standing in the same place and different times, in the same moment - because TIME IS RELATIVE). However, I wonder, if the island is moving and taking Locke with it, why isn't Alpert going with it (according to him)?

15. Arrow attacks - I'm guessing waaaaay back when. Who the heck uses arrows over guns? I'm guessing they used arrows because it wasn't modern times. Actually, through my research I came across a group of men called the English Archers during the 14th and 15th centuries. Remember the accents! So, while that would be a super long jump backwards, who knows on LOST. I mean the Black Rock ship was from 1845 and came from England, so who knows.

16. Adam & Eve - These were the names of the skeletons that Locke found in a cave in season 1. I'm bringing them up because I'm wondering if anyone has already seen their own skeletons. I'm going out on a limb here and saying they're either Kate and Sawyer or Desmond and Penny. Guess we'll have to wait ad see.

17. Ana Lucia and Libby - Maybe Hurley is special and not schizophrenic. Maybe he has the ability to see people in time. Since "time is relative" does that mean death is relative too? If death is relative too, especially if you die on the island, then Hurley isn't seeing dead people, he's seeing people relative to his lifetime.

18. Claire - We never saw her die, but we did see her hanging out with her dead father in Jacob's cabin. We also saw her visit Kate. Is she aware that the island is doing the time warp?

19. Juliet's hand - I'm thinking about the men in uniforms who grab Juliet by the hair and immediately wants to chop off her hand. Could these guys possibly be the link to how Dr. Marvin Candle eventually loses his hand?

20. Locke's constant - Must be Richard Alpert or the compass. Remember way back when Richard Alpert visited little Locke and presented several items to him (a baseball glove, book of laws, comic book, sand, knife, and a compass) then asked him to pick the one that was his. Unfortunately for Locke he chose wrong and picked the knife. But now we know he should have picked the compass. By the way, if you remember back to that episode I belive there was a child-like drawing of a smoke monster hung up on the wall. I guess Locke had already met Mr. Smokey at some time. We know Locke wasn't born on the island because we saw his birth, so how would he already know what is his in the future and elements of the island? hmmmmm

LOST in bliss

Ahhhh it begins again. The anticipation was killing me. We can finally see LOST tonight with TWO new season premiere episodes! Make sure to set your DVRs. If you're lucky to have two, set the DVR in the living room, as well as the one in the bedroom - just in case. You never know what can disappear right in front of your eyes, especially when it comes to LOST!

For laughs, I've decided to provide you with my tentative LOST season premiere schedule for all to see. For those that know me personally, I'm not a scheduling type. I'm an easy going person, who takes my time and enjoys life as it comes. Not tonight! Not on Wednesday January 21, 2009! Nope. Today is a special day!

9:00 AM - wake up (I don't have to be at work until 2:30) check the DVR and make sure LOST is set
9:00 -12:00 PM - eat breakfast, take a shower, do some reading for school, check out facebook...
12:00 PM - leave for the day BUT before i go - CHECK THE DVR A FEW MORE TIMES AND MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS 100%
2:30 PM -work
6:30 PM - leave work and go out to dinner for my wonderful sister-in-law's birthday dinner.
6:40 PM - finish dinner and cake (just kidding)
OK so here I'll be at dinner and totally paranoid about my DVR. I'll be wondering if some kind of weird magnetic interference reset my DVR? Did a plane fall out of the sky and crush my TV? Did a bunch of mercenaries come by and bomb my house and now I'm left without my DVR, TV or any of my LOST McFarlane figures?
7:00 PM - by this time I'll be thinking, damn in one hour the 8:00 LOST recap starts. Then I reassure myself that it's OK because I've never missed an episode and I know everything about LOST. I don't really need the recap.
8:45 PM - if we're still in the restaurant I'll start sweating from panic because in 15 minutes LOST will begin. Then I'll begin to wonder if I ever set the DVR.
8:50 PM I'll burst out yelling, "WE HAVE TO GO BACK!" Everyone in the restaurant will look at me and I'll run out. If my husband's not with me, too bad. He can catch a ride with one of his family members.
8:55 PM - I'll be racing home, while being followed by the police, imagining that my speedometer reads 4815162342. When I finally get pulled over for speeding, after crashing through a pile of papayas, I'll hope the officer was Ana Lucia's partner, Big Mike. When Big Mike approaches the car I'll explain my hurry and he'll let me go of course.
8:59 PM - On my couch, TV on, DVR working.
9:00 PM - watching "Because you Left"
10:00 PM - watching "The Lie"
11:00 PM -watching "Because You Left" in slow motion looking for easter eggs while checking out Darkufo, Docartz and Thefuselage
12:00 AM - watching "The Lie" in slow motion looking for easter eggs while checking out Darkufo, Docartz and Thefuselage
1:00 AM - going to sleep with the biggest smile on my face

If things don't go as planned, I made sure my mom has her DVR set to LOST too! You can never be too safe. One day, I'll have to tell you about the time my DVR reset and LOST was never recorded. That was a sad day in my LOST history.

HAPPY LOST DAY! (and Happy Birthday to my sis-in-law)
Namaste

Dr. Manhattan for sale

It's about freaking time this dispute was settled. Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox have finally put their differences to rest over this year's much anticipated film, The Watchmen. The good news for fans is that the movie will open as planned on March 6, 2009. The even better news...wait for it...The official Watchmen action figures are now available for pre-order!!! Check out www.watchmencomicmovie.com for a detailed description of each figure. So far they have a limited edition of Dr. Manhattan (available 2/25), Rorschach (available 3/11) and the Comedian (available 2/11). The really cool thing is that there were only 5000 of these specific action figures made. The weird thing is that they made Rorschach without his inkblot mask in this series. However, they made a whole other series of action figures all due out in February 09 (eight figures in all), plus collector figures and movie busts.

Now You Can Use The Force

This year's CES show featured one of the coolest products I've definitely dreamed about several times before. The Force Trainer helps you develop your Jedi skills and move things with your mind. Sounds crazy, right? Not anymore. The Force Trainer, created by Uncle Milton Industries, comes with a head piece that reads brain waves, and with enough concentration you can manipulate a ball through a clear sphere. NO HANDS NEEDED - just a furrowing brow! This is one of the first mass-market brain-to-computer products. Still think it's impossible? Get this - the product is simply using the same technology that doctors use to read the brain's EEG waves; it's just a simplified version. Of course the Force Trainer has cool sound effects too, because who wants to move stuff with their mind in silence. The product is supposed to be out by the end of 2009 for about $90-$100.

I personally can't wait for this. But I can picture it now: men trying to open the refrigerator door by use the force because they're to lazy to get off the couch and kids bursting blood vessels trying to move cars with their minds. I wonder what Yoda would think.

Criss Angel is a Douche Bag

Apparently, I'm not the only one who has an opinion about Criss Angel. "Criss Angel is a Douche Bag" is the title of Supernatural's next episode, airing January 22, 2009. After checking over the cast for this episode it looks like he doesn't even make an appearance. So now I'm wondering if his disappearing act is what rewarded him the title of "douche bag." According to the episode description on the CW, this week's show sends Dean and Sam to a town full of old-school magicians to investigate a mysterious death. Let's hope, for Mr. Angel's sake he makes a surprise appearance in order to redeem himself or maybe he's just to busy in Las Vegas with his Playboy bunny.

LOST meets X-Men

"X-Men Origins: Wolverine" premieres in theaters on May 1, 2009. As if that wasn't enough to get excited about, X-Men has actually cast a few LOST actors as some of the mutants.

Kevin Durand has had plenty of time practicing his bad guy role on LOST as Martin Keamy. We've seen him kill his share of good guys on his hunt for Benjamin Linus.  Now he's back, and bigger than ever, literally. In X-Men he'll be playing the villainous role of the Blob. The Blob possesses super human strength, his own gravitational pull, and indestructible blubber.
But wait, there's more. While LOST fans everywhere still question if Charlie Pace actually died and went to heaven, I can assure you that he did grow wings! Dominic Monaghan has landed the role of Barnell Bohusk/Beak in the X-Men Origins movie. Beak is a humanoid-bird character with a beaked-face, protruding eyes and wing-like arms that help him fly. The best part is that Dominic actually has a few flashback scenes in the movie. I guess you can never be too prepared.

Band From TV

No, I didn't say "banned from TV," I said, "Band From TV." Yep, some of our faves were on Jay Leno last night showing off a different side of their talent.

Band From TV features  Greg Grunberg (Heroes) on drums, Adrian Pasdar (Heroes) on guitar, Teri Hatcher (Desperate Housewives) on vocals, James Denton (Desperate Housewives) on guitar, Jesse Spencer (House) on violin, Hugh Laurie (House) on keyboards, Bob Guiney (the Bachelor) on vocals, and Bonnie Somerville (Cashmere Mafia) also on vocals. In the past they've had some great guest celebrities like Wayne Brady, the guys from Chuck and even some of our LOST friends.
The best part is that all the money earned from the purchase of merchandise and tickets goes straight to charities. Way to go guys! You can check them out on www.bandfromtv.org

Obama meets Spider-Man

On Tuesday January 20, 2009, Barack Obama will be America's new President. In the eyes of many American's Obama is already a hero. However, Marvel Comics has gone one step further. Marvel is featuring Obama and his favorite superhero, Spider-Man, in a comic book entitled, "Spidey meets the President." The comic, displaying both Obama and Spidey on the cover, is about photographer Peter Parker who sees two Obama's on inauguration day. It's Spider-Man's job to save the real Obama and inauguration day. The story is written by Zeb Wells, with art by Todd Nauck and Frank D'Armata. The AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #583 comic became available January 14th, 2009.

Star Trek on Steroids

So I have to be honest here. I was never a big fan of Star Trek. Star Wars was always my thing. However, I think this year, JJ Abrams, will change my mind. Anything JJ touches instantly becomes a favorite of mine!!! Not only is JJ Abrams doing Star Trek, we have a whole bunch of LOST and Fringe people here making this movie - Damon Lindelof, Bryan Burk, Roberto Orci, and Alex Kurtzman. I mean you honestly couldn't have a better team making a movie! But wait, there's even more. Why not throw a little Heroes into the mix.  Zachary Quinto, aka Sylar, will be playing Spock. Crazy, right! It's like someone took all my favorite shows, mixed them in a blender and gave it steroids!

The website alone is AWESOME! Check it out here at http://www.startrekmovie.com.
The movie comes out May 8, 2009. I am so freakin excited!
